Video
stations, We SHall Rise EXHIBITION
This video is a 10:34 min. work showing a series of floating liner forms drifting or floating into settled configurations. The movement implies intentionality but never quite accomplishes its intention. The liner elements are the deconstructed contour-line drawings by Loren Baker of his garden. These five drawings where the last artworks he made shortly before taking his life. The audio track, This Bitter Earth / On the Nature of Daylight is a blend of post-minimalist German composer Max Richter and vocalist Dinah Washington. The song, This Bitter Earth, was written in 1959 by Clyde Lovern Otis.
